SUMMARY:Troublesome Creek Writers Retreat – Savannah Sipple
DESCRIPTION:Troublesome Creek Writers’ Retreats offer a fun and relaxing weekend on the Hindman Settlement School campus during one of our most beautiful seasons. Facilitated by accomplished writers and authors, these retreats are kept small–between 15-20 participants–so that attendees can write in community, without the demands of a structured workshop, but still with the opportunity to participate in facilitated discussions and sessions. Here is an opportunity to write, read, and fellowship, away from the hustle of everyday life.\nThe retreat begins on the evening of Friday, October 16 and concludes at your leisure on Sunday, October 18. Registration fee includes lodging in one of our on-campus cottages (double-occupancy) and three meals (dinner on Friday and lunch/dinner on Saturday).\n \nAbout the Instructor\nSavannah Sipple (she/her) is a writer and editor from Kentucky. Her first book, WWJD & Other Poems (Sibling Rivalry Press, 2019), was included on the American Library Association’s Over the Rainbow Recommended LGBTQ Reading List. It explores what it is to be a queer woman in Appalachia and is rooted in its culture and in her body. Savannah is also a special projects editor at GO Magazine, and she’s currently working on both a novel and a memoir. \n \nREGISTER NOW!\n
