We are pleased to share our 2019-20 Annual Report, which highlights both the numbers and stories of our work over the past year. While this year has presented challenges and opportunities, the Settlement School has promptly implemented changes and quickly embraced new ways of serving children and families in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
We genuinely appreciate each of you who made contributions and provided instructional supplies and other resources to meet the educational needs of our students through new and expanded means of program delivery. This year our staff and volunteers served a record number of food insecure families through Grow Appalachia, provided opportunities for children to experience traditional Appalachian music and arts in the comfort and safety of their home, and expanded the number of elementary schools participating in our dyslexia intervention program from three-fold.
As you flip through the pages of this report either below or by downloading a copy, I hope you are reminded about how your generosity is changing lives in central Appalachia.
