Community Agriculture Education (AmeriCorps Member)
The Community Ag Education Member will build the capacity of Hindman Settlement School by developing and implementing a plan to help strengthen access to locally grown-foods in Knott County, Kentucky through a community agriculture education program and bolstering of the local farmer’s market. Additionally, the member’s service will promote nutritional health education in an area that struggles with a wide range of public health issues and provide economic opportunities to local farmers.
AmeriCorps Tutor
We are hiring full and part-time tutors for our school-based reading and math intervention programs in Bell, Floyd, Knott, Leslie, and Perry Counties.
