No Batteries Required

Joe Sartor

The subject of “No Batteries Required” comes from Triplett Creek, which runs through our City Park.  I go there often to be refreshed, along with others.  Guests within a semi-natural environment.  It’s disturbing, however, to see this gift abused by all too commonplace thoughtless deeds.

Joe Sartor was born in Fulton, MO in 1939, earned Bachelor of Arts Degree from Centenary College at Shreveport, LA, 1962, was a three-year Army Enlistment with duty assignments in Germany, then completed graduate studies in Art at University of Missouri, and earned a Master of Arts in Art Degree, 1968.   He then began a teaching position in studio art at Morehead State University, continuing through retirement in 2000.  Sartor currently maintains a studio at Rowan County Arts Center in Morehead.
