Clayton Spencer is a poet originally from Southeastern Kentucky. His debut chapbook, “Concerning the Service”,  was a recipient of the 2024 Beyond Words Poetry Chapbook Prize from Beyond Words Press. Clayton is a recipient of the 2024 ARTie Award for Artistic Excellence in Poetry from the Ohio Arts Council. His poems have appeared in The Southern Humanities Review, Appalachian Places, and elsewhere. For the last few years, Clayton has lived and worked in Columbus, Ohio.
