TROUBLESOME RISING DIGITAL ANTHOLOGY

Before the Muddy Waters

Chris Wood

We splash in puddles,

bare feet stirring mud and gravel,

watch dandelions let go of their feathered seeds,

soft parachutes drifting away —

into the future

where our lives are distant

our memories fond.
