TROUBLESOME RISING DIGITAL ANTHOLOGY
Gathering at Stucky
Lisa Ragan Farthing
My spirit is refreshed as I walk the hill to the house
A house that once held healers caring for the community
And now holds friends gathering to write
A new form of healing.
My heart is uplifted as I stand below the tree line
The sky is so blue I can’t look away nor describe it.
My friends are below in the healing house
That once held those whose homes had washed away.
My soul is speaking to the Creator as I follow the road
It is leaf covered and soft,
Leading up to the top of the hill
Where I can see the place that holds my heart.
I can make the trip without a map or GPS now
Four years after so much destruction and loss and trauma and
Heartbreak.
