WE ARE SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
TO SERVE AS VIRTUAL TUTORS!
Don’t miss this opportunity to change lives in Central Appalachia. You can be one of a community of DAR members from across the country helping a child with learning differences overcome the reading struggles they have faced due to their learning difference.
You can grant a child confidence, fostering a love for education that will last them a lifetime. The best part about tutoring is that anyone can help make a difference. We provide materials and training to everyone who signs up; we ensure you have the tools to help a child cope with and conquer their learning difference.
Over the 15-week program, you will be at the forefront of Hindman Settlement School’s dyslexia intervention program, working with kids after school for one hour, twice per week. Each session will take place on Tuesday and Thursday or Monday and Wednesday. Two hours a week is all it takes to boost a child’s confidence, improve their academic performance, and make a life-long difference in a person’s life.
