Writers' Workshop

CONFLUENCE SCHOLARSHIP

SCHOLARSHIPS

Generous support from friends of the Workshop provide numerous full and partial scholarships to writers across the region demonstrating financial need. While we also have general scholarships available, there are specific scholarships available for first-time attendees, BIPOC participants and LGBTQ+ participants.

APPLY

On the Workshop application, if you are applying for a scholarship, you’ll have the option to submit a statement of purpose and an overview of your writing journey, which should not exceed 750 words.

While not required, the inclusion of a recommendation letter attesting to the strength of your work and your level of commitment may be included to supplement your request.

If the application fee creates an economic hardship and would prevent you from applying, please email josh@hindman.org to discuss options.
